Excellent Breast Reduction with Dr. Lin Dr. Samuel Lin is a double board certified plastic surgeon. He is a referral from my allergist whose sister had the same procedure. I read about Dr. Lin in Boston Magazine. He is, without hesitation, the consummate "Top Doc" of Boston. In my lifetime I have worked, interviewed and experienced surgeries with many----many a plastic surgeon. This man is the real deal. He's easy to talk to----ever so humble, yet, there is a quiet elegance about this man. Even though his waiting room is flooded with patients, he makes you feel like you are the center of his world. He stays intensely focused on every word. He would ask "If given the option, what do YOU want"? Seeing my transformation brought me to tears-----still does. Dr. Ma anesthesiologist I had a lengthy discussion with Dr. Ma. He listened, took notes and addressed all my concerns. Honestly, I still expected to wake up in pain and nausea. None of these! Dr. Ma is awesome. I immediately left the hospital for McDonald's. Yep-----shake burger and fries! True story. Surgical staff This team is like no other. Wicked nervous would describe my demeanor on the day of surgery. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was immediately greeted by Phyllis the surgical receptionist. We talked. We laughed. We hugged. I thought what a great start. It just got better. I must acknowledge the exceptional care I received from this surgical staff. In prior surgeries, I've been left lying on a gurney----staring at the ceiling while the staff talked amongst themselves-----not here. These nurses included me in their conversations. They never left me alone for a second. They were professional, respectful, courteous and Fun-----an all around great group of gals! The genuine camaraderie amongst the team was evident. Must mention....they had nothing but high praise for Dr. Lin. My follow up appointment was with Calley, P.A. Breast healing is an entirely unique experience. You're constantly comparing one breast to the other. I had questions that I honestly felt better and relieved talking to another woman. I left the office feeling light as a feather. I would like to share my experience with Doctor Lin. Without a doubt, he is the most exceptional and personable Doctor my Mother has ever had. Results were nothing short of amazing and we are grateful for his skillful hands. His entire team is also a testament to their professionalism and dedication. They are all positive, friendly and made my mother really comfortable. The experience was truly life changing and there is really not enough we could say about the Doctor and his team. Getting the news of breast cancer is unexpected and unsettling; fear of what is to come can be overwhelming. The compassionate care provided by Dr Lin and his team was always reassuring and comforting. The procedures and processes were presented clearly and performed with great expertise. Any questions or concerns were treated with importance and respect. Everything was tailored for you- individually; and you are always involved in the decision making. There was never the sense of being rushed. I always felt valued. I am delighted with the results achieved.

In August I had a Septoplasty performed by Dr. Lin. The treatment I received throughout the process was exceptional. I found everyone involved to be both professional and caring. It has now been 7 weeks since my procedure and I have experienced neither pain nor discomfort of any kind. I am very happy to have chosen Dr. Lin and his team for my procedure and I would encourage other to do the same.

Incredible team and process- I struggled with breathing from sinus issues on top of a deviated septum and Dr. Lin was able to resolve both those issues so well. Very little recovery with an amazing outcome.

Be wary of these positive reviews. The bulk of them are from Fellows and Residents that are looking to build rapport from Dr. Lim in exchange for positive references and favourable academic review. I’m a physician and I had 3 rhinoplasty consultations with Dr.Lim. I found his staff unprofessional and disorganized, it was a battle getting them in concert with each other and to move forward. Dr. Lim decided to show me photos from his iPad on previous patients, by holding an iPad in front of a poor quality webcam? This was a joke for you couldn’t see anything and is an indicator of competency. The images were poor, the work was subtle or not noticeable on his previous patients - you can see this on his website as well, nothing dramatic. When I asked for visual renders to ensure we were aligned in the surgical plan, he was dismissive, then finally agreed after a great deal of persuasion, only to never ever follow through. Folks, please don’t ever allow a surgeon to do rhinoplasty without providing you a visual representation of the goals. Dr. Lim is kind, but I found his rhinoplasty work to be modest and very subtle. His refusal to generate any type of a visual render of what to expect was the red flag, for you have to sign off that for any revision surgery you will also bear the entire cost of the full surgery at the full price… there’s no accountability with Dr.Lim and you need to be mindful of this. I had my rhinoplasty elsewhere… far too many concerns with Dr.Lim.

Dr Lin and his staff could not have been more helpful throughout this process. Dr Lin explained everything in great detail, he even called the night before my surgery to go over everything again and answer any lingering questions I had. I felt really at ease with the surgical staff and am very happy with my results. Thanks!

I had the pleasure of working with an incredible plastic surgery team lead by Dr. Samuel Lin. I've had three previous surgeries, including an initial breast reconstruction and two revisions done at a different hospital. All three surgeries left me unpleased with the results. I was ready to give up on achieving the aesthetics I so desired and settle with the results I had, thinking that my vision wasn't achievable given the mastectomy. Dr. Lin and his staff were amazing! I am really pleased with the outcome of my breast reduction surgery that I had done with Dr. Lin. My neck and back pain significantly decreased following the procedure. I used to be a size 40DD and now I am a 38B. 🙂 I now feel like I can maintain a healthier lifestyle and work out without any trouble.
