Last summer I made the decision to have septoplasmy. I am an active 55 yo woman and was struggling breathing through my nose - I was a mouth breather, especially when I was sleeping. It was a lifestyle choice but I canceled it three times because I was nervous. I had heard it was a difficult recovery but the final decision came after a hike last summer where I was so restricted through my nostrils and was panting terribly. I had enough. I have my surgery on 8/5/22 and then entire staff at Dr. Lina was amazing, as was the hospital staff. It was still pandemic restrictions so I was alone but everyone was attentive and informative. Surgery went well. But I am not going to lie. The first week after is terrible. When they said “you will be uncomfortable”, it’s an understatement. You can’t breathe through nose, must sneeze with mouth open (for a month), had to sleep upright for two weeks and I was just uncomfortable. I was a healthy fit woman and so I thought I would sail through and be back working from home in a few days. No. I needed a full week off and for the first four was extremely uncomfortable. It was pain (after first couple days). Just extreme discomfort. I went back after a week to get my splints out and immediately felt better. I continued with the nasal irrigation, wasn’t taking any meds (only did for three days) but it was still slow recovery. I needed a good month until I felt better. I am now 6 months out and it was the best decision I made I don’t snore. I have full ope airways and it’s changed my world. I would highly recommend doing it but definitely have help and be ready to be very uncomfortable for a full 7-10 days. Once you get through that, you will be so happy Go for it!!! These photos are day of, two days post op and 10 days post op. One year later, I am feeling fantastic. I have full breathing capacity in both nostrils; no longer am a mouth breather (especially at night). I am a fitness instructor and this has been life changing. I highly recommend this procedure with Dr. Lin. He is caring, kind and obviously an amazing surgeon!

Working with Dr. Lin has been nothing short of exceptional. He was able to turn my rhinoplasty vision into a reality and really made the entire process are stress-free as possible. The virtual research rotation with Dr. Lin was very complete. He helped us to create a project of our choice and guide us during the whole month. He was able to answer all our question and help us to construct our project with taking into consideration some details that he already know for experience. Also, as a mentor, he was so kind and patient, which let each student to feel confortable, I very suggest this rotation due to the valuable experience of the doctor and his personalised treatment with each student.

I had Septorhinoplasty in 2021, My breathing problems 100% fixed and rhinoplasty much better than my old nose almost 90% done but 10% needs to revision maybe I am not lucky, thank you Dr Samuel.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Sam Lin. I went in for a rhinoplasty with a focus on the nasal tip and the results were better than I could have ever expected. From Beverly: Dr Sam was recommended to me by 2 of my doctors. He was without question the ABSOLUTE BEST choice for my breast reduction surgery. He listened to my desires and I am so pleased with my results. This surgery was a long time coming, something I have wanted to do for 20-25 years, but just to afraid of the surgery, the anesthesia to be specific. My neck, back pain, shoulder pain issues, as well as personal embarrassment due to the size of my breasts were something I dealt with forever. It finally became an issue I just couldn't deal with any longer. It was now or never and as nervous as I was I knew that if I didn't make the decision to go ahead with reduction surgery now I would forever regret it. I knew Dr. Sam was the doctor to perform this surgery. He is a perfectionist and I felt safe and secure with him as my doctor. I would tell anyone in my place thinking of having this procedure to definitely do it now . My only wish is that I did it years ago.
